VEST ACCESS SYSTEM

OPEN has developed a vest identification and access system which
compliments the Perimeter Access Card System (click here to read more).
The vest is unique and readily identifies a person as a member of the
OPEN network, as well as the building and position as it relates to that
person. The vest becomes important during incidents in which a building representative will be stationed at the command post. The vest readily identifies a person as part of the incident command system, and can easily be seen from a distance by Perimeter Officers. When arriving on the scene of an incident, the vest will allow responding crews to easily identify the persons with key positions at a building, and quickly gather any information they may need prior to entry. This ability greatly speeds up the size up stage of the response and provides for a higher level of safety to all involved. |

Vest Applications
Applications for vests will be considered based on the minimum requirements for an organization. The organization must meet one the following guidelines:
More than 3 stories in height
More than 10,000 square feet per floor
Other special occupancies approved by the Executive Director of OPEN
