- What is it
- A group of public and
private security staff, business and non-profit agency
leaders that have come together to reduce crime and the
opportunity for criminal behavior in the Downtown and
community at large through better communications and
cooperation.
-
- Mission
- To reduce the opportunity
for crime, incidents of crime, and improve the quality of
life in the Downtown through better communication and
cooperation between the Fort Worth Police Department,
Private Security, and Downtown business leadership.
-
- What do we do
- This group meets monthly to
discuss crime trends and develop programs to reduce crime.
- An email and fax network
of all the members informs them of real time criminal
activity in the Downtown.
- Monthly luncheons are held
to keep members up to date on the latest crime prevention
techniques and crime trend analysis.
-
- History of
Operation Partnership
- Operation Partnership is
the outgrowth of the Fort Worth Police Department's efforts
to improve cooperation with other segments of the
community. The Downtown security entities and the business
leadership attended an FBI sponsored workshop with the Fort
Worth Police staff in 1993. As a result of that workshop
Police Department staff, private security directors and
representatives of the Downtown Business leadership came
together to form Operation Partnership.
-
- Membership
- Membership in Operation
Partnership Security Network is open to anyone interested in
reducing crime in the Downtown specifically, and in the
community in general. There is no fee for membership.
